Quatrain of Into The Open
Scary
The first nine months of my life
I was wrapped in
a swaddling
panoptic.
When I was born, I was open to
the world, no protective
cover as an
optic.
I'm scared, I am now wide open
to the world; I am prey
to all that
endures,
At anytime life could be over,
because there's no
wrapping with my
Mama's cures.
