Quatrain of Before Living
Getting ready
Before I was alive I didn't know
much, it was a time when
learning was tethered
to sin and
crude,
I came to bushel count using
mad Mathematics, acquired
forged English;
History was
skewed.
I tempted to be prepared to enter
this world but was astonished
how evil it had
come to
be,
At first I was pampered but later,
hammered like an obedient
recruit; I thought
I would be
free.
