Better Now - indeed

In looking for reasons to be
alive, I found one
under my
foot,

I reached down to grab it; it
didn't move, I pulled
with all it
took.

And as I brought it up close,
it was looking me
square in the
eye,

Everything about being alive
is certainly far better
now than after I
die.
