Quatrain of Bit My Feeding Hand
Not wise
Many years ago I bit the hand
that fed, I'm not sure
I was rationally
thinking,
It was my belief I would be
better off if I fed myself,
how foolish when I'm
drinking.
Tell me God, if the impulse
to take too much continues
in my blood, stop it's
flowing,
Let me only eat from your
hand, the hand that
we all understand is
holy and knowing.
