If your soul has gone away,
do you know how to
reclaim it without
unnatural
begging?

If I tell, will you listen to me,
inspect every illegal
bottle of sin,
resist spiritual
bootlegging?

Your soul is down in the holler
where whiskey is made
and candlelight is a
sought after
blessing,

Even homemade drinks need
to have prayer follow each
swallow , to keep folks
like you soul
guessing.
