Broken Spirit - it is costly

It is stunning to know how stupid
many are, no matter how
much education
they have
earned.

There are doctors and lawyers
and Indian chiefs who
are so foolish our
souls are alarmingly
concerned.

Wisdom does not come with age
or formal education, it comes
from the spirit as
a wonderful
token,

You're either born wise or you're
a dolt, it doesn't matter how
much you educate yourself
when your spirit is
broken.
