Developing World - took a long time

There was a time when old age was
not attainable, everyone
died extremely
young,

Of course, not much was accomplished
to better life, and humanity
remained in dark
dung.

Then one day, evolution kicked in, and
someone spotted an old man
inventing glory
unfurled,

And all of a sudden, many others aged
and had plenty of time to give
us our modern
world.
