Different Paths - love

I have tried to shake this
feeling I've had for
you ever since we
met,

Although it was long ago,
I still remember how
I felt, the goals I
set.

I was sure we would spend
our lives together, but
I was perilously
wrong,

Though our lives took different
paths, surprisingly, my
love still remains,
it must be
headstrong.
