Early Love - don't let it happen
to you

I fell in love at a very young age,
to a beautiful girl, sweeter
than the notes of a
band.

I believed we were meant for each
other, she was part of
my destiny God
planned.

I smothered her with my yearning,
it drove her away, I watched
my lost love forever
roam.

I've lived a life in search of the
love I found early in life's
journey; empty handed
I now go
home.
