Without Following - a tough task

If you could live beside yourself
and never let feelings
obscure the
way,

You could control the outcome
more easily; find comfort
from day to
day.

But you would have chased
yourself in an attempt
to stay near feelings
mystified,

You would run the risk of drifting
apart, your feelings would have
to keep in touch and stay
alongside.
