Quatrain of Freedom Lost

Freedom Lost - it slips away slowing

Unfortunately, it is easy to
become desensitized
to the slow loss of
freedom
availed,

When the loss comes as a
tiny fraction of our
opportunities it goes
unnoticed and
veiled.

We should be frightened
when even a puny bit
of freedom is lost, we
should scream and
yell,

Otherwise, it is only a matter
of time before there is no
freedom left, surely we
will find we are in
hell.
