In The Dark - seeing you

I have never seen you in
broad daylight, we
always meet
well after
dark,

Light is a gift from God,
when truly needed,
but only when it
hits the mark,

I'd rather just feel you;
pretend you are as
beautiful in sunshine
as you are in my
dreams,

If we meet after sunrise,
my image may shatter,
and life will never
be as it
seems.
