Quatrain of I Watched
The sunset
I watched the sunset when I was
young, it dropped below
mountains, I waited
for a
fire.
I watched confused ethics ask for
forgiveness to set beyond
the mountains
dark and
dire.
I watched an waited for sacred
smoke to rise as the hills
would surely
crumbled and
burn,
I watched as nothing happened,
it was unearthly, day turned
to dark, a lesson
I had to
learn.
Yorktown Disciple
Let me watch,
let me
remain
in awe
The open spaces are divine
