Lame Excuse - I have one

I had an excuse for my behavior
when I turned my back
on you so
quick,

My points were flawed after my
emotions laid my disbelief
on a somewhat
thick.

It isn't like me to try an excuse how
I act, I try hard not to
lower my moral
ideals,

When my feelings are embarrassed
you always find out what
a lame excuse
reveals,
