Life On Hold - not a good idea

I took a vacation from life, put
my enthusiasm for
living firmly on
hold,

I wanted to see if standing on
the sidelines of existing
was tepid or
bold.

I found my desire for happiness
started to wane; became
immensely
forlorn,

Vacations are a great escape from
normal activities, but a vacation
from reality has left me feeling
stillborn.
