Quatrain of My Allowance
From God
I spent my allowance God had
given my soul at
an early
age,
I meant to keep sinless wagers
for emergencies,
not a living
wage.
Because of this misfit, I have
had to work for
every dime to
spend,
God didn't leave me much, but
it helps keep sin from
becoming my
friend.
