Quatrain of My friend

My friend - my spirit

I raced my soul to the finish
line to see who would
get there
first,

It is important to stay ahead
of myself and be sure
my soul isn't
cursed.

If I cannot keep up with my
soul I don't know where I
might wind up, in the
end,

My soul will continue on after
I'm gone, keeping up with
my spirit will ensure I will
remain a friend.
