Neutral Love - not what I wanted

You touched my soul and didn't
know it, so oblivious
was your calm
jester,

You didn't realize how you made
me feel, as lingering
love was left to
fester.

I hoped we could set out on a
romantic destiny, ever
believing the feeling
mutual,

But after my soul was jarred and
my feelings stung, your
response was unduly
neutral.
