Quatrain of News Depression

Depressed by News

Depressed by daily news, I took
my thoughts and rolled them
into a ball of criticism
to fight my
anguish,

I might take my feelings of losing
happiness and start a civil
riot to drum up support,
so I don't
languish.

When the spirit is taken down my
mind tends to fight to remain
alert, to give meaning
to all I've
undertaken,

When I am sad I often think it is time
to start a movement to change
the life I've come to know
and not
forsaken.
