No Pity - never

It is pity that causes the world
to consume any love you
might have for
those more
lamentable,

Mercy will not reinforce the
wishes of the soul nor
will it make life better,
sorrow is not
preventable.

So let your benevolence stay
under control and allow
a more rigid kindness
to watch over lost
souls,

When you sympathize with others
you help to drain the goodness
divinely harbored, for pity
is always in search of
loopholes.
