Normal Decency - the spoken word

Language is deteriorating
and nary a word no
longer means
what it once
did,

And as the spoken word is
obscenely mangled,
society mimics rot,
it should
rid.

As language falls below
normal decency, souls
are left to fight
ill-mannered
sin,

Language doesn't follow
social norms, it dictates
what society believes
is proper and what is
spin.
