Quatrain of Not Always Free

Not Always Free - truth

The truth doesn't always set
us free, or wildly clear,
sometimes it lets
us linger in
pain,

Truth doth try to manage life
but it can get caught
up in the weeds
and be forced to
abstain.

There are times when a good
tale will serve us much
better, it will go
easier on those
unwise,

If we all waited for truth to set us
free, many of us would grow
old not knowing a good lie
might be a better
compromise.
