One Basket - it is how it should be

I've been told my entire life
not to put all my eggs
in one basket, to
lessen the
loss.

The problem arises when,
in a pinch, all I have
is one egg I can
defensibly
toss.

I see life differently, if I had
a lot of eggs, I would want
them in one basket
simple to
stow,

When the time comes to defend
my principles; with my eggs
in one pile, they would
be easier to
throw.
