Quatrain of On Par

On Par - let me stay even

Lord help me not to lose my
faith because my talents
are not as great others
as I have
seen.

May the world understand my
shortcomings and bless me
the same as those
with a smarter
gene.

It is only fair I live as good as
the best and brightest, God
made all mankind with
the same soul,
homegrown.

Please, don't let my happiness
slip into poverty because my
aptitude is not on par with
the sadness I have
known.
