Quatrain of The Road

The Road - life as we know it

I saw the signs along the road,
I saw the path in front of
me, clear with open
eyes,

I traveled many miles to find
my soul; paid attention to
many truths and some
lies.

Although I wished to view the
scenery, I had to keep my
mind intently glued to
the trail,

Life is a road well traveled, but
it goes through scenery
where I barely noticed
any detail.
