Out Of Line - a good idea

I can hide my soul when it
gets out of line or falls
short of God's
demands,

To the rest of the world it
looks like I am on the
Devil's side and his
commands.

It seems no matter how hard
I try, I dodge the goals set
out for me, without
missing a
beat.

If I hide my soul, my obligations
disappear, and I can fool the
Devil so I won't
feel the
heat.
