Paying Dearly - yup!

I gave up all the pleasures in life,
not because I wished for
pain, but because
I had no
choice,

I was forced to sacrifice happiness
due to the sadness I caused
by not listening to
another
voice.

I was so concerned with my own
gratification I let others
suffer without any
thought of their
sensitivity,

I shall, for the rest of my life, bear
the consequence of my over
site and pay dearly for
my egotistic
proclivity.
