Quatrain of Power Hoping
More power
I was hoping to have the
power of God before
I became
a grown
man,
But when I became old
enough I was barely
the strength
I now
am.
I had to settle with what
I could do, fight like
others on
an even
field,
Consequently, I've lost
more battles than I've
won, more times
I've had to
yield.

settle

what
I
could
do
