Prayer Performed - not too well

Oh, Lord I come to you as if
it my first time, looking
for hope, believing I
could use a spiritual
connection.

What I truly need most is a
guiding light, that will shine
in the darkness, for I
have lost my moral
direction.

Everywhere I turn there is
false truth staring me in
the face, it seems to be
coming from the poorly
informed,

Since this is my first prayer,
my wish is to convey my
faith in you even though
my praying is not well
performed.
