I have heard promises of real value
from the likes of you,
time and time
again,

You have broken sacred promises
more times then can be
counted, to my
chagrin.

Promises have evolved into leverage
for you to take control
and get in over your
head,

Listening to promises is the ultimate
insult, promise me, the
next promise will go
unsaid.
