Quatrain of Amenhotep III
King of Egypt 1391 BCE
A blanket of peace and prosperity
covered the Egyptian sands as
muffled sounds drifted up from
immiscible sin laying on the
soil.
Daily life spontaneously pushed
elastic creativity past crowded
bias and nothing was learned -
salvation was heated to a
boil.
Split-fairing weather menacingly
whipped elucidating demons from
decaying minds and a composting
culture was trapped in
ignorance.
And spiritual rot was placed along
the banks of the Nile as the gods of
celestial bodies were abandoned
because of Amenhotep's
indifference.
