Quatrain of Childhood Dreams
Childhood Dreams - let them go
A hangover of childhood dreams
blurs the mind with
yesterdays
prayers,
Too many childish notions have
caused a lifetime
of sacred
repairs.
The God I know and the God I
love seem to be hidden
in a bourbon
bottle,
If my childhood could just go
away, I wouldn't have to
drink dreams at full
throttle.
