Quatrain of Covered In Sand
Covered In Sand - the politically correct
I heard the sound of gun fire
and thought it was only
the sound of
moonlight,
I saw your smile but thought
you were up to no good
and just wanted to
fight.
I walked on the beach and
thought it was laughter
under my feet - but it was
land,
It's my way of coping with the
perils of life, I was taught
to keep my head in the
sand.
