Quatrain of Cuauhtemoc
Cuauhtemoc - Aztec Emperor 1509
Doth thy enemy march over
the death of thy
city where I
dwell?
O, torture me until I give
up all the wealth I
have put under my
spell,
I shall keep from revealing
a list of truths thou
has unwittingly
foretold,
And defend my honor until
the last god of the
heavens is
sold.
