Quatrain of Economic Drought
Economic Drought - political reality
1.
I thought it was just
water dripping from a
leaking facet that had a
crack,
Hence, I called a plumber
in case it turned out my
liberties we no longer
intact.
It was actually my
freedom slowly dripping
from the American
Constitution,
When the plumber arrived
my hands were tied by
another government
institution.
2.
The water could not
be stopped, I had to let
it run with every drip
unabated,
Government had spent all
my money and what was
left was totally
inflated.
The life I once knew
changed from self reliance
to holding a beggars hand
out,
I removed the faucet and
spent the rest of my
life in an economic
drought.
