Evolution - to evolve out of need

To evolve by the essence of demand,
to emerge with the best
notions as a
benchmark,

To have gained the finest abilities
that keep me alive, without
always being left in the
dark,

To have two feet for walking, two
hands for manipulating ideas
and weave them like
thread,

Confusion! If it was need inspired,
life or death, why don't I have
eyes in the back of my
head?
