Quatrain of Eyes
Eyes, window to the soul
1.
It all began, when I first
touched your glassy
toes,
It was the dead of winter,
and your feet were
froze.
Our eyes met as God
appeared like a light in the
sky,
I knew right then, I would
love you until left to
die.
2.
The sparks we warmly shared,
as the years
progressed,
Gave birth to the idea:
worth the passion I came to
invest.
No decision smarter, have I
ever made - or governed so
wise,
Alas! it was love at first sight,
when I gazed into your
eyes.
