Quatrain of Feathered Mopoke
Mopoke, Australian name of several birds
In another life, I sailed above
the weather, as if
my heart was
weightless,
The shape of my soaring soul,
honorably covered my
sins, I must
confess.
I was a glider of uplifting truth,
bound to inspiration and a
scavenger of all
hope,
I had wings of an angel, a
reincarnated mind, I was a bird
of prey, an Australian
Mopoke.
