Feet Grounded - be careful what you say
You embarrassed me last night,
in front of friends and my
peers,
You mentioned how much you
loved me and it brought me
to tears.
You talked as though I float
on air, as if my wisdom were
profound,
From now on, until I die, it is
going to be hard to keep my
feet on the ground.
