Quatrain of First Tool
First Tool - Man's first tool - a weapon
1.
Perhaps on the Savanna,
perhaps under a tree near a
brook,
Man's first tool, reverently
found in sketches from logic's
book.
With no speed for running,
no muscles to overcome a fierce
fight,
Man, increasingly vulnerable,
hope of survival left for wit to
ignite
2.
By chipping with his hands he
resplendently managed to
weaponize,
And God granted him steely
grit deep within his soul and in his
eyes,
For in the beginning, same as now,
armament forsakenly used for
freedom,
Without weapons mankind would
evaporate, like other species with no
wisdom.
