Quatrain of Free Brunch
Free Brunch - what happened to mine
You ate my freedom for lunch,
discarded the crumbs
upon my hopes so
virile.
You devoured all my dreams, as
I left the table in search
of liberty in
peril.
What's worse, I had to pay for
the meal after I was promised
it would be a free
brunch.
And after all the promises, I now
find out there is no such
thing as a free
lunch.
