Quatrain of Fulk IV
Count of Anjou (1068 1109) Angers
Fulk the Surly
1.
Tempers ceding control of
history with a regionally
sloven portrayal of dispensed
pain.
Fighting over wanton authority
of plebian labor and the bounty
that comes from honest
chores.
The hope of steering a course
of mighty ideals set on a path
abruptly stopped by the
insane,
Hardened boils sliced from the
mind of a dying whisper are the
result of a Count's political
sores.
2.
What is gained is not worth
the strain, nor the
degradation of hopeless
refrain.
The urge to cross the valley
of ruthless hate leaves the soul
empty and away from
God.
Desire becomes lost and life
becomes merciless and fraught
with multiple factions of
pain.
Glory be unto the ruled and
not to the ruler, for conquered
ends come quicker than a simple
nod.
