O, thy genetic taste, thy hope
of an organism so
strong,

'Tis every wish of man and beast,
even if it's spiritually
wrong.

To manipulate the natural,
to altar the molecular level of
life,

Gives man the power and the glory,
to feel as God's
wife.

2.
Recombinant technologies,
employed with maladroit
delight,

Alters the natural order with
elusive speed and evolutionary
fright.

Today we see a genome order,
created over thousands of
years,

Tomorrow we shall see the death of God,
through many untold
tears.
