Hanging Around - glad you're here

I didn't fall in love with you, but
now I can't live without
you hanging
around.

I had hoped romance would come
my way if I stayed,
and love would
abound.

I was wrong to think I'd change
my view, in spite of
looking below and
above,

I will live my life forever happy,
but I will never know what
it's like to truly
love.
