Quatrain of Hate Prevails
Hate Prevails - I wish you hadn't listened
You drifted off into never-never
land when you were very
young,
I pulled, I tugged, I even pushed,
and engendered a slip of the
tongue.
I mentioned you were light of mind,
heavy on incoherence, to no
avail.
I made a mistake, your lack of self
esteem began to grow; forever
prevail.
