Quatrain of Hoofing It
Hoofing It - down the road I go
You are an oleaginous earth
worm, leaving a slime
trail where ever you
go.
You tricked me into believing,
your thoughts of me
had a golden
glow.
It would have been better to
have been plain spoken
and declared
unfit.
I could have squirmed away
unscathed, but now
I must painfully
hoof it.
