Matter - having meaning

The human condition forces
everyone to wish their
nugatory lives
will one day
matter,

Instead of focusing on
reaching their goals
they focus on faults
of the Capitalist
ladder.

Rarely finding effectual
meaning, they are
consumed by the
space between each
rung,

They wind up destroying
the economic system
we climb to reach or
goals when we're
young.
