Life - what you see

If I am to spend my life in
eternity, why the brief
stop here on
earth?

Was it just to pass a test
of faith, or is this an
evaluation of my
worth?

By faith I enter the promised
land, by faith I managed
to endure Hell's
strife,

It seems to me we could have
skipped this step we
ominously call
life.
