Quatrain of The Paddle
The Paddle, a great learning tool
Flash! I lied when I was only
twelve years old, to
my mom and
dad,
Observe! I told them I fed
the chickens one morning,
when I never
had.
My folks found out, the
chickens squawked and
no eggs did they
rattle,
When school let out, I found
redemptive regret, as my
folks dug out the
paddle.
