Quatrain of Political Rake
Rake, a gardening tool
1.
I had a compatriot go into politics,
he never told a
lie.
But within just a few hours,
his honesty did not
apply.
Whenever I saw his mouth open,
a rhyme came
forth,
Each time two words sang together
his eyes pointed north.
2.
What a liar he had become in
just our time of
need,
It wasn't that he wanted to deceive,
he just loved
greed.
His power went to his head,
his soul burned at a
stake,
Reality sores are coming,
he is about to step on his
political rake.
